"My Daddy He's A Legend" written as a surprise for both of us by Mick (Michael Cleary Senior)

became the title for the First Album.

Daddy was totally speechless (there's a first too) and said its the most unique Debut that he had ever heard because "Firstly Mick wrote it in your name and then he pays tribute to both SLIM WHITMAN & JIM REEVES and we sang together on Tours but they are both my joint favourite Country Singers from America, after HANK WILLIAMS Himself, of All time, that's Amazing "

As we listened to it again together, Daddy said "it's very unique, introducing you, Singing about me, by himself because I'm Mick's favourite singer and I have to say, he's mine here, how's that for unique", And we all laughed at Daddy being so astonished, 

I had no idea Mick wanted me to sing for Dad whilst he was still living, even though I wasn't Singing myself, since my school Feis days, but when he asked me to sing for Dad ; it was truly amazing that he thought of it the way he did, 

He has a truly amazing heart 

And without even realising, suddenly I then was rehearsing in every County of Ireland to packed venues with Mick and thinking what a surprise for Daddy but I'm very nervous. As more Radio Airplay featured Mick's tribute song, I got even more nervous so I would rehearse then before the Dance started, which was what I thought I was doing until Mick thought it important to sing live after rehearsing at home everyday.

I explained to Dad that I was too nervous but didn't want to say anything about singing live, after Mick making such a huge effort devoting everything to rehearsals, with full gear, and all Studio preparation at home together, so Dad assured me that when he first sang with THE POLKA DOTS he was far worse with nerves and he said " Mick is hugely talented as both Singer and Musician,  musically for any one man to sound like a Top three or five piece by himself is a very unique talent to have, mighty dancing tempos to perfection and singing forty or fifty songs a night too, producing that sound is a huge achievement.

And respect to Mick, when he told Dad that he completely understood how nervous I was and he wanted to introduce me onstage for four songs knowing I would faint if I thought about sitting on stage for two or more hours, not playing any instruments, So it was really hilarious when Mick asked how Dad can walk straight on stage at Dances or Concerts, remembering the days when he sang from 9 to 2am, How did he do it?

I laughed so much with relief and we all laughed together when Dad said ...." That's easy, but I certainly couldn't do what you do and sound like a five piece band by yourself, Yes a top five piece too, Come on !!"
